(Santa Monica, CA) -- Black Friday shopping is as much a part of Thanksgiving as the turkey for some Americans. More than a quarter of the respondents in a new PromotionalCodes.com poll admit they "never miss" or "usually hit" at least one store on the unofficial launch of the holiday season.
And just 29-percent say they've "never" gone shopping on the day after Thanksgiving. In addition, online shoppers aren't always waiting for Cyber Monday to make Internet purchases. A quarter of those polled "never miss" or "usually hit" at least one store's website on Black Friday. Many people will be looking for deals this year as well.
Just over half of those taking part in a National Retail Federation survey say the economy will affect their holiday buying this year.
Americans are expected to spend and an average $737.95 on gifts, decorations, and other seasonal items, which is down two-percent from 2012.
