(Undated) -- Dr. Dre's music streaming service, Beats Music, is officially online. Launching today, Beats Music hopes to compete against already established music streaming companies such as Spotify, Pandora and iTunes Radio.
According to the Beats Music website, the service will combine "the freedom of an on-demand subscription service" with features that help select songs users will love. With Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor as the Chief Creative Officer, Beats Music is hoping to change listeners' perceptions of what a music streaming service can be. Beats Music is available on iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile operating systems.
Beats Music previously announced a partnership with AT&T that will give its individual smartphone customers free access to streaming and downloads for 30-days. AT&T users on a family plan will receive that same access for 90-days. Family plan members will also get a discounted rate on their subscription.
