Economy Adds 113,000 Jobs In Jan

(Washington)  --  The economy added 113,000 jobs in January, bringing the unemployment rate down to 6.6 percent.

That's slightly better than the 6.7 percent analysts predicted.  Yet analysts over predicted the number of jobs added.  They thought the economy would add 185,000 non-farm jobs.

Republican House Speaker John Boehner is not impressed with the latest jobs numbers.

In a statement, Boehner said it's part of the "worst jobs recovery in history."  He accused the White House and congressional Democrats of standing in the way of a more robust recovery.  Democrats often make the same claim about Republicans.  Boehner said it is time for Dems to "listen to the American people and work with Republicans" to grow the economy.
