Holiday Gas Prices Expected To Be Highest Since 2008

Holiday Gas Prices Expected To Be Highest Since 2008

Gas prices this Fourth of July weekend will be the highest they've been since 2008.

AAA says that's primarily due to the unrest in Iraq.  The current national average price of gas is $3.68 a gallon.  The price on 2008 was more than four dollars a gallon.

The high price of gas isn't expected to put a dent in travel for the holiday weekend. Triple-A projects 41-million Americans will travel at least 50 miles for the holiday.
