Postal Service Posts $5 Billion Loss For Fiscal Year

(Washington, DC)  --  The United States Postal Service is ending its 2013 fiscal year with a $5 billion loss.  That's a lot smaller than last year's whopping $16 billion loss.

The USPS implemented a series of cost-cutting measures this year, including big reductions in employee work hours.  Growth in the shipping and packages business also helped curb losses.
